Trip to the DLR (FULLY BOOKED)
The registration is closed because the event is already fully booked. Please don't register anymore. All participants will be notified in the next days. We thank you for your great interest.
This semester, for the first time, there will be a pilot project, a trip to a company in order to get to know the company and the daily work as a mathematician*.
On March 3rd 2020, we will drive to the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Cologne at about 9 a.m. at Endenicher Allee 60 (in front of the main entrance). There we will spend the morning with a guided tour of the site. During this tour, we will cover a distance of about 2 km on foot. After a short lunch break, Dr. Margrit Klitz and a few of her colleagues will tell us about their daily work as mathematicians at DLR. We will end the afternoon with a coffee together and arrive back at the mathematic's centre by 5 pm at the latest. The entire event will be held in German.
Do you want to join? We'd love to have you! Just register at oeff@fsmath.uni-bonn.de. You can register up to two people with one email. The registration starts on Wednesday, 15.01.2020 at 10a.m.. The registration deadline is 24.01.2020.
There are about 30 places available, which will be distributed according to the first-come-first-serve principle. So if you want to participate, register early! If this pilot project is well received, there will be comparable events in the next semesters.
We look forward to seeing you!
